Energy-Time/Satisfaction Ratio

from - smijer

It's become apparent to me in recent weeks that I have given far too much time and energy to the project of blogging, and not received nearly enough satisfaction in return for it. For now, I will leave up what I have done already, although I'm not sure I see a point in leaving it up indefinitely. I may export it and download to my hard drive and remove it from the web when traffic zeroes out. I'll take some of the intervening time to reflect on whether there's anything here that is of value to the web community over the long-term.

I enjoyed it while it lasted. I'll still be reading the other members of the RTB and my favorite political and scientific blogs regularly.

Peace Out Dawgs.

I think that that would be a great shame. I greatly enjoy our discussions.

"Where will I come to discuss politics?"

there are lots of good places on my blogroll for that... CJG's place (Ranting & Raving) for instance... Body & Soul... North Georgia Dogma, SK Bubba... Skeptical Notion... I'll be in the comments threads on some or all of those, so I'll probably see you there.

Have you considered joining up with one of the other smaller bloggers who shares similar views with you? That way you can continue to blog whenever the mood strikes you but don't have the pressure of meeting the needs of a demanding audience on a daily basis.

Or, you could take a semi-vacation from it and then hit it hard again when you are rejuvenated. Hell, the primaries arent over, Limbaugh and Hannity are in full force, and Bush absolutely refuses to keep his mouth closed so you should have ample topics of discussion from which to choose. :-)
