...so they write a bill to punish providers with up to 10 years + $100,000. Those who hire the providers to carry out the deed get off scott free.

Wow. We're heading toward a real showdown. From the article you point to, at least there's this: "The bill could only go into effect if the U.S. Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision is overturned."

yeah, possibly - or it may never make it the USSC... I hear that in South Dakota, there is a ballot initiative to repeal the abortion ban recently enacted there. Could happen in LA.
